Welcome to Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing
We’re on the road again!
After the success of last year’s tenant roadshow, we’re taking to the road again to come to your neighbourhood and hear your views. We’re going to be at various sites across the borough, as well as holding stalls selling 21st birthday gifts and baby presents at community events and Loughborough market.
Your feedback is what helps us improve our services so please take a look at when we’ll be near you and come and let us know what you think. You’ll also receive an invitation in the post with details of when and where we’ll be near you.
We could be heroes!
Our Customer Engagement team has been shortlisted for a Housing Heroes award in the category of Tenant Empowerment team of the year!
These national awards are organised by the housing sector’s leading magazine, Inside Housing. To make the shortlist we had to demonstrate how the team involves tenants in decision-making and develops their skills so they can have a real say in our services and performance.
Reaching the finals is recognition of our work and in particular, the tenant roadshow last summer when we travelled around the borough, visiting tenants in their neighbourhoods and listening to their views. (We’ll be doing this again this summer - see story above).
We’ll find out if we’ve won the award on 11 May so fingers crossed!
Turning up the heat in Shelthorpe
MORE than 200 Shelthorpe residents attended an open day to find out more about a £1.1 million home insulation and heating scheme which is set to slash their energy bills.
The Hug Your Home Zone project, which began on 5 March, will potentially shave hundreds of pounds off annual heating bills in around 800 eligible homes which will be offered free insulation and heating improvements to their properties.
Sheltered dwellings and flats for the over 50s available
Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing has a range of sheltered accommodation across the borough with some sheltered courts in the centre of Loughborough and others in the surrounding villages of Sileby, Rothley Shepshed, Barrow Mountsorrel, Syston, Birstall, Thurmaston and Anstey.
