The snow may not long have melted, there may be barely a leaf on the tree, but the green shoots are showing and that means it’s Gardening Competition time!
Following the now legendary success of last year’s event - the Tenant Participation Team at Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing is proud to announce the second annual Gardening Competition.
This year, after listening to your feedback, we have made the changes to the competition that you have suggested. We have included a ‘Best kept Neighbourhood/Estate’ category and included ‘Balcony Gardens’ in the ‘Hanging Basket and Window Box’ category.
We will also be promoting the competition through Tenant and Residents Groups and the Housing Teams.
The judges will award first prize (£100 vouchers) and second prize (£50 vouchers) in each of the following categories:
- Hanging Basket, Window Box and Balcony garden
- Sheltered Court garden
- Communal or Shared garden
- Best kept Neighbourhood/Estate (clearly defined)
- Individual House or Flat garden
The judging will be taking place week commencing 19th July. The judging team will comprise or a CNH Board Member, two tenants and a member of the Tenant Participation Team.
Prizes will be presented at the annual CNH Tenant and Leaseholder Open Day later on in the year.
