Changes to your Tenancy Agreement

Week commencing 5th July, CNH will be sending out a letter to all tenants of Charnwood Borough Council regarding the ammendments to their tenancy agreement terms. The revised tenancy agreement will also be sent out to all tenants.

When do the changes become legally enforceable?

The varied terms are enforceable 4 weeks after service, which will be 9th August.

Do I need to sign and/or return the new tenancy agreement?

No, the notice is deemed served once you have received it.

Will I need to supply CNH with a photograph?

No, if you are an existing tenant you do not need to supply a photograph. New tenants will be asked to supply a photograph, or one will be taken when signing for a new tenancy.

Do any of the variations effect the security of my tenancy?

No, your tenancy status remains the same.

Can I request a copy of the tenancy agreement in other formats?

Yes, if you require the tenancy agreement in another format, such as, large print or braille, please contact Tenancy Services on 01509 634666 or email tenancy.services@cnh.org.uk

I don't understand the documents I have received, Can I get help?

Yes, we realise that there is a lot of legal terminology and that the varied tenancy agreement is a lengthly document. You can contact the tenancy services team who will talk you through the changes.
