Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing

What is the TRG?
The TRG is a group of people who represent Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing (CNH) tenants in meetings and consultations with CNH. The group includes representatives from resident groups well as individuals.

The TRG Chair is an elected tenant member of the group who is responsible for its smooth running.

What does the TRG do?
TRG members ensure that CNH works with other service providers in Charnwood to strive for excellent standards in all housing service areas. It does this by consulting on topics such as policy and procedure; strategies; decent homes and capital expenditure; the tenancy support services; the voids procedure and value for money.

TRG members also play an important part in encouraging tenants to be engaged with CNH so that they can make recommendations and directly influence housing services.

Another key role of the group is to review, prioritise and approve allocation of funds for tenants’ environmental improvement projects through the Tenant Bid scheme.

The TRG also works closely with the Tenant Scrutiny Panel, receiving feedback and updates from the Panel and contributing feedback on the services being scrutinised.

TRG meetings also provide an opportunity for representatives of Tenants and Residents Association and Task/Focus group to update the forum on the progress, activities and events of their individual groups.

The group meets every month at The Hut, 14 Old Ashby Road, Loughborough, LE11 4PG, between 10am and 1pm.
