Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing is working in partnership with Clockwise Credit Union to open a savings account for every new tenant by depositing a £1.00 into a savings account.

The Money Management Officer, Bindu Parmar, will contact new tenants to sign them up for the savings account by completing a savings application form during the 1st week of your new tenancy.

The £1.00 will be deposited into the savings account by Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing within 4 weeks from the start of the tenancy. The tenant will have access to the account to make more deposits and withdraws against it.

This initiative has been agreed as part of the financial inclusion strategy, to encourage tenants to save for the future and prevent them borrowing from expensive door step lenders.
