The Housing Income Team has a Money Management Advice Service for customers who require advice and support regarding their financial circumstances.
Bindu Parmar, the Money Management Officer, will be able to offer advice regarding housing benefit, other benefit entitlements, advice on repayment of rent arrears, and other housing debts such as rechargeable repairs and former tenant arrears.

Bindu will consider your income and expenditure by using our new Self Help Guide to Money Management prior to suggesting repayments on your behalf to the Housing Income Officer managing your account. Bindu will also be working with other local advice agencies such as, The Bridge Housing Services and the Citizens Advice Bureau, if the customer has financial difficulties with other utilities or creditors.
Since this service was launched in March 2008, Bindu has helped tenants claim over £130,000 of additional benefits to help pay their rent and other bills.
