How to Pay Your Rent

Your weekly rent is due on Monday each week. You can pay in the following ways:

Direct Debit

A Direct Debit mandate can be downloaded below for you to complete and send to us at Housing Income Team, Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing Limited, PO Box 8749, Council Offices, Loughborough, LE11 9EF.

The following dates will be available to pay your rent by Direct Debit.

  • Monthly on 8th, 15th or 25th
  • Or weekly on a Tuesday

This means you won’t have to remember to pay your rent.

Plastic Swipe Cards

You can pay your rent at any Post Office or Paypoint using your AllPay plastic swipe card. If you have lost your swipe card or require another one, please contact the Housing Income Team free from any land line on 0800 6335548 or email

Credit/Debit Cards

You can make payments using your debit or credit card. Payments can be made by telephoning 01509 634 666 and quoting your rent account details. We do not recommend using a credit card to pay your rent. There is a surcharge of 2.2% for payments made by credit card.

Opening hours for this service are 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30am – 4.30pm on Fridays.

Alternatively you can call our automated payment line, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, on 01509 634 555. Payments can also be made by debit card at Customer Services in the Charnwood Borough Council offices.

Online

You can pay your rent via the internet using your Credit or Debit Card.

This service offers secure payments, in conjunction with HSBC Bank, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

By Post

You can post a cheque or postal order weekly, fortnightly, or monthly in advance. Please send your payment with a covering letter to Housing Income Team, Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing Limited, PO Box 8749, Council Offices, Loughborough, LE11 9EF.

A receipt will be posted back to you the next day. (Make your cheques payable to Charnwood Borough Council and write your rent account number and address on the reverse).
