There are flats and bungalows situated in most towns and villages within the Borough which are connected to our Central Alarm Service. This service offers 24 hour emergency assistance.

Residents living in these properties are visited once a week by a warden who monitor their well-being and also contact the necessary organisation if help is needed with day to day living.

An on-call warden is available for emergencies out of office hours if the Control Centre are unable to contact a member of the family.

Am I Eligible for Supported Housing?

Supported Housing is available to elderly (60+) and disabled or vulnerable people who need support to enable them to live independently. The service is funded and organised through Supporting People (Leicestershire County Council) and a charge is made by them for the Warden Service provided, in addition to the rent.
